One of the oldest and best bus operators in Indonesia, NPM has served more than 80 years with a service of 80 navy buses and 100 regular travel buses. NPM is an acronym for Naik Minang Company, which was founded in 1937 in Padang Panjang, West Sumatra. Founded by Bahauddin Sutan Barbangso Nan Kuniang, PT NPM was then continued by Chairul Bahauddin Sutan Barbangso and now managed by the third generation Angga Vircansa Chairul. At the height of its glory from the 1980s to the early 2000s, the NPM PO network stretched from Medan, Pekanbaru, Dumai, Jambi, Bengkulu, Palembang and Bandar Lampung in Sumatra to Jabodetak and Bandung on Java. The addition of 10 Mercedes-Benz buses in 2019 marks the seriousness of NPM Bus to become the leading bus service provider in Indonesia.
