What if the ferry is delayed?

Ferries are generally on time, sometimes minor delays may occur due to sea traffic or weather conditions. In case of any delay, the passengers will be informed by the Ferry Operators via email/ message/call. You can also check the Ferry status on our redBus app. 

Due to weather conditions, ferry departed late. Can I get a refund?

Ferry operators may delay departures due to adverse weather conditions to ensure passenger safety. Services will resume once conditions are deemed safe for travel. As these delays are beyond the operator's control and are implemented for safety reasons, refunds may not be applicable. We recommend planning your travel and activities to accommodate potential weather-related delays and avoid disruptions to your schedule. Is there any additional charges

Depending on the specific Ferry operator and Terminal, the ticket price might exclude terminal fees, seaport taxes, or international passenger departure fees. These must be paid in cash or via card directly at the ferry terminal before departure.

What should I do if I miss my ferry?

If you miss your ferry, the ticket will be considered a no-show and is generally non-refundable. You will need to book a new ticket for your journey. To avoid missing your ferry, arrive at the terminal at least 1 hour before departure for domestic travel and 2 hours before departure for international travel. This allows sufficient time for check-in, security procedures, and boarding formalities.

I missed the Ferry. Do I get a refund?

A full 100% refund is provided only if the ferry operator cancels the service or the ferry is not operational. Unfortunately, if you miss the ferry due to personal reasons or late arrival, the ticket is entirely non-refundable.

Should I check in earlier to board the ferry?

Yes. Please complete check-in at least 30 minutes before departure on regular days and 1 hour before departure during peak seasons, such as school holidays and festivals. For a hassle-free journey, we recommend arriving at the terminal at least 1 hour before departure for domestic travel and 2 hours before departure for international travel.

I want to change the Boarding or dropping point?

Boarding and dropping points cannot be changed after the ticket has been confirmed. Any change in the Boarding or dropping point selected during booking are final and non-changeable, as per the bus operator's policy. The Luggage fare policy may vary depending on the respective ferry operators and their terms & conditions. Kindly select your preferred source and destination, and refer to the Booking Policies section for the details. redBus is not liable for any losses/damages to the luggage or personal items like purses, wallets, money, jewellery, a. Passengers must not carry any goods or other articles that are prohibited under law- like weapons, inflammable, firearms, ammunition, drugs, liquor, illegal products/drugs, hazardous materials.

My payment is successful and the money is deducted, but did not get the ticket confirmation. What should I do?

Payment failures may occur due to network issues, bank maintenance, or security checks etc. In rare events, if the payment fails and the ticket confirmation has yet to be sent out, your money will be refunded. If redBus has not received the payment, and your payment is pending at the payment gateway depending on the bank, it will be refunded automatically to your original within 7-15 working days (excludings Holidays and weekends) or more depending on your bank.
